The opportunities for adventure are truly unlimited for the outdoor enthusiast from the moment they arrive at Tres Palmas. We are situated 500’ feet above the shoreline with a tropical rain forest surrounding us. From almost anywhere in the villa one can view the Pacific Ocean and the Golfo Dulce with the tip of Panama in the distance. Behind us are hundreds of acres of primary forest teaming with wildlife. We are home to four species of monkeys, scarlet macaws, several species of toucans and hundreds of other species of birds and animals.

Costa Rica luxury rentalEven though Tres Palmas sits at the edge of civilization, it is located only a short hiking distance from Matapalo’s world-famous wilderness resorts and gourmet, international restaurants.

Matapalo is also home to perhaps Costa Rica’s (and the world’s) best inshore and offshore sport fishing. Snook, snapper, barracuda, rooster fish and countless other species of gamefish can be targeted from Matapalo’s beaches. While just offshore, and within sight of Cabo Matapalo, anglers can chase and catch giant yellowfin-tuna, wahoo, marlin, sailfish, dolphin (Mahi Mahi), African Pompano and many other species this area is world famous for offering.

Right from Tres Palmas back yard you can experience this area’s world-class bird watching and wildlife viewing. There are also opportunities to go kayaking; or take in a rain forest tour, on foot or horseback (including world-renown Corcovado National Park). experience the area’s hiking; horseback riding; swimming; and pristine beaches all in one day!

Furthermore, you can receive a massage, participate in Yoga classes, or relax at the pool with a tropical cocktail while watching the monkeys and other wildlife living around Tres Palmas or the Blue Whales. Humpback Whales and Orcas that swim in the waters below!

For many guests, the highlight of their stay is a tour to Corcovado National Park by plane or a night camping in the jungle. But we shouldn’t forget repelling down waterfalls, climbing mountains or catching a world class wave.

Puerto Jimenez is only a 30 minute drive and offers boat tours, several restaurants, cafes, nightclubs, and grocery stores. We can set you up with great guides and fishing trips, as well as lodgings in San Jose and in-country travel

Anyway you look at it, from the moment you arrive, Tres Palmas has a feeling of adventure that captivates your emotions while its beauty touches your heart. I can honestly say Tres Palmas is one of the world’s most perfect places.
